EDI - ELECTRODEIONIZATION SYSTEMS

EDI is the most advanced de-ionizaton system that provides water at a very high purity level.

EDI systems consists of cells with semi permeable membranes and resin fillers. Ions in the water is moved towrds the + and – poles using electricity and thus the Water becomes pure.

EDI systems are continuously running systems and do not need backwash or regeneration. EDI drain Water can be directed towards the RO system inlet.

Important Concerns for System design
• The feed Water should be treated through Double RO
• Hardness, Silica, CO₂, TOC, Iron and Manganese concentrations should be determined precisely.
