Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems are used to eliminate dissolved ions from
water with membrane technology and accordingly to reduce the conductivity value
of water. RO systems are membrane systems that operate according to the cross
flow principle and do not have backwash. Chemical washing is carried out with
membrane washing units at certain times.
Reverse Osmosis is an artificial reversal of the natural osmosis process.
To reverse the osmosis mechanism, pressure is applied to the brine side of the
membrane.
RO system operates with high pressure. Operating pressure varies according
to the salinity of the water entering. (10-15 bar in typical well waters, 15-35
bar in brackish well waters with high density, 70 bar in sea waters)
General features
• TFC Wound Membranes
• FRP Membrane Vessels
• 316 Stainless Steel High Pressure Pump
• Low Pressure Piping PVC or SS 316 Optional
• High Pressure Piping SS 316

MEMBRANE WASHING UNITS
Reverse Osmosis systems work continuously. Impurities, concentrated
salts and film layer deposit on the membranes and in time. The
membranes must then be washed to remove them.
