ULTRAFILTRATION SYSTEMS
Ultrafiltration (UF) systems are used
for sensitive filtration of sea water, river water, well water and spring
waters with a dense and variable physical pollution load with membrane
technology. Hollow Fiber membranes with a pore diameter of 0.02 micron can be
used to remove bacteria, viruses and turbidity in water at a high rate. Thus,
filtration can be achieved at the highest standards. UF systems are systems
that operate according to the vertical flow principle. The impurities held by
the membranes are removed from the system by automatic backwashing. At certain
times, chemical washing is done. Average system efficiencies are around 85-90%.
